The governor’s office is looking to fill a vacancy on the five-member Arizona Game and Fish Commission.
The commission advises the Arizona Game and Fish Department, which is responsible for creating rules to protect the more than 800 species of wildlife in the state. The commission also establishes regulations for wildlife, fisheries, boats and off-road vehicles.
The commission's makeup requires geographical and political diversity.
Currently, three members on the commission are Republican. Due to department rules, there may not be more than three members from one political party on the board at a time. This seat is also not open to residents of Maricopa, Pima, Yavapai or Gila counties.
Applications are due by Sept. 30.
