Are enough Arizonans getting the latest COVID-19 booster shot?

It feels like we’ll never stop talking about COVID-19 vaccines.

There’s now a fifth shot available — a booster designed to help protect against the highly contagious omicron variant. The Arizona Department of Health Services strongly recommends everyone 12 and up get the shot.

At the same time, the state is moving into flu season and health experts are saying a flu shot is important, too.

But can you get the vaccines at the same time? How hard is it to find the new COVID-19 vaccine? And is anyone getting it?

To break down what you need to know about COVID-19 and flu vaccines, The Show spoke with Dr. Nick Staab, an epidemiologist with the Maricopa County Department of Public Health.
