Immigrant coalition calls for investigation into Gov. Ducey for busing migrants to other states

An immigrant rights coalition is calling for an investigation into Gov. Doug Ducey for busing undocumented asylum seekers outside of the state.

The Uncage and Reunite Families Coalition claims Ducey may have broken state and federal laws by sending them to other cities.

Attorney Dianne Post says the move could interfere with those involved showing up to court dates.

"Each refugee is given a piece of paper about where and when they should be at their next check in and find out about their next hearing date. If they miss that because maybe they're in the wrong city or wrong half of the country, then they are in extreme danger because they could be deported, and that is also obstruction of justice." Post said.

The group says there are allegations that some were put on the bus involuntarily and didn’t know where they were going.
