With the general election coming up, now is an important reminder for eligible Arizona residents to make sure they can vote.
Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer says voters must be registered before Oct. 11 to ensure they can take part in the November general election.
“You can register anytime later in October, but you just won’t be able to participate in the November election. You would be able to participate in future elections," he said.
Richer says the easiest way for all Arizonans to register is through the Service Arizona website.
Maricopa County residents can check the status of their voter registration on the Maricopa County Recorder website as well.
The general election is Tuesday, Nov. 8. Polls close at 7 p.m.
Important dates
Oct. 11, 2022: Deadline for voter registration.
Oct. 12, 2022: Early voting begins.
Oct. 28, 2022: Deadline to request ballot by mail.
Nov. 8, 2022: Election Day.
