This Tempe freeway ramp is closed until Oct. 30

Drivers who use eastbound U.S. 60 to connect to southbound Price Freeway in Tempe will need to pick an alternative route this month.

The freeway-to-freeway ramp that funnels traffic from eastbound U.S. 60 onto southbound Loop 101 closed Monday night and will remain closed until 5 a.m. on Oct. 30.

The McClintock Drive exit on eastbound U.S. 60 will also be closed.

The Arizona Department of Transportation says this is to make way for repairs to an underground water line.

This is separate from the closure of the same areas at the end of September, which was for concrete repair work.
