In an effort to counteract election disinformation, the Brennan Center for Justice and All Voting is Local teamed up to create a guidedescribing the rigorous process of how poll workers are selected and trained. One such guide was made specifically for Arizona.
The two organizations are providing these guides to Elections officials, as well as the public, in a handful of states.
Alex Gulotta, the Arizona state director for All Voting is Local, says these guides are meant to encourage trust in the election process.
“I think the important thing is, is to not let all the noise that people are creating about our elections dissuade you from exercising your right to vote. Your right to vote is as powerful as it ever was," Gulotta said.
The guide outlines eligibility requirements, chain of command, and what behavior would get a poll worker removed.
