Coconino County is still assessing the damage after a rare tornadotouched down in northern Arizona earlier this week. No injuries have been reported.
But county spokesperson Stephen Pelligrini says there’s a lot of damage.
“There’s a lot of debris presence, a lot of broken and damaged trees, trees that have been uprooted and carried off. A lot of outbuildings that have been destroyed, roofs ripped off of homes, and RVs and motorhomes that have been displaced and flipped over as well," Pelligrini said.
The county is working with the Red Cross and United Way to identify residents who may need temporary shelter, help clean up properties or other assistance.
