The NHL returns to action this week, and it’ll be a new-look season for the Arizona Coyotes. In addition to their move from Glendale to Tempe, the hockey team is turning in a new direction with its fan apparel.
The Coyotes announced the appointment of fashion designer Rhuigi Villaseñor as creative strategist of the franchise. He is the founder of streetwear brand RHUDE and will oversee the team’s creative projects. Chief brand officer Alex Meruelo Jr. reached out to Villaseñor for the partnership.
The collaboration intends to establish a streetwear brand that could be worn in a variety of settings outside of the hockey arena. The Coyotes open their season in Pittsburgh on Thursday.
