Maricopa County to hold public viewing of election verification process

Maricopa County received national attention after many supporters of a now debunked conspiracy theory concerning voting irregularities occurred following the 2020 election.

As usual, however, Arizonans will have the chance to check the voting system in place ahead of the general election in November.

On Tuesday, the public can view online  the logic and accuracy test of Maricopa County for the general election. The test is a verification process that ensures ballot counting equipment is programmed correctly and ballots are counted accurately. It’s part of a quality control process to certify the reliability of tabulation equipment and accessible voting devices.

About 2.4 million Maricopa County residents are eligible to vote this year according to the county’s Election Department website.
