Maricopa County Board of Supervisors chairman: Election workers facing harassment

Early voting is underway in Arizona.

However Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Chairman Bill Gates says workers at the tabulation and election center have already faced intimidation.

He said there have been incidents of people taking pictures of and harassing election workers as they go into the site.

"This is the sort of thing that’s been normalized, and it has to stop. That’s why we’re encouraging people who are passionate about the election to get involved. They don’t have to stand outside taking pictures harassing people," Gates said.

Gates added that similar behavior happened during the primary in August. He added the county is working with law enforcement to protect poll workers.
