Learn about ADOT's plan to put electrical vehicle charging stations along Arizona highways

The Arizona Department of Transportation will host a public open house in Yuma on Tuesday.

The purpose is to present a draft plan for the installation of electrical vehicle charging stations along interstate highways in Arizona and gather feedback.

The meeting is scheduled from 5-7 p.m. at the city of Yuma City Council Chambers and is just one of several similar events scheduled around the state in the near future.

The objective is to “encourage adoption of electric vehicles by improving the accessibility, reliability and equity of clean transportation options” according to a release.

Anyone who wishes to learn more about the proposed stations prior to the meeting can go in-person to the City of Yuma City Council Chambers or visit  AZDOT.gov/EVPlan.
