Lake appears on Clean Elections interview following fallout with Arizona PBS

Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake appeared on AZTV on Sunday for her one-on-one interview sponsored by the Citizens Clean Elections Commission.

The interview was scheduled for Arizona PBS earlier this month but was canceled after the public station scheduled an interview with Democratic gubernatorial candidate Katie Hobbs after she wouldn’t agree to a debate.

Both appeared on ABC’s “This Week.” When asked, Lake said she is prepared to accept the results of the election.

"I will accept the results if we have a fair, honest and transparent election. Absolutely 100%," Lake said.

Hobbs, however, pointed out that has not been what Lake has said on the campaign trail.

"What I think is really important here is Kari Lake has based her whole campaign on election lies and we know that she’s going to do that again if she loses," Hobbs said.

When asked if she would recuse herself from overseeing the election as secretary of state, Hobbs said she is having discussions with her office, but did not provide a concrete answer.
