How the 'rinky-dink' Coyotes could be Stanley Cup contenders in 3 years

The Arizona Coyotes play their first home game of the new season Oct. 28, when they face off against the Winnipeg Jets at Mullett Arena on Arizona State University’s Tempe campus.

The Coyotes have won two of their first six games, all of which have been played on the road.

The team is hoping for a new arena in Tempe; talks are ongoing between the Coyotes and the city over those plans. That’s after Glendale decided not to renew a lease to have the team play at Gila River Arena.

For a preview of what to expect from the Coyotes this year, and what the future may hold for the team, The Show spoke with Sean McIndoe, national hockey writer for the Athletic.
