Gas prices continue to fall in Arizona and across the nation. The average is $4.26 per gallon. That is down more than 20 cents from a month ago.
AAA spokesperson John Treaner says there are multiple reasons for that, including a drop in demand.
"Nationally we’re looking at demand, we’re looking at oil prices globally. But in the West we’re seeing dramatic drops in prices and that’s because oil refineries that were struggling with maintenance are now back up online," Treaner said.
Though the prices have dipped in the state, Arizona continues to see higher prices than the national average.
