After the Tua Tagovailoa head injury, the NFL can do more to prevent concussions

Concussions have been a big storyline in the NFL again this season, especially after Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa hit his head on the turf in two consecutive games, just days apart.

The league, and others both professional and otherwise, have implemented new rules and protocols to try to make their sports safer and protect players’ brain health. But are those steps working?

To find out, The Show spoke with Dr. Shanyn Lancaster, who is double board-certified in sports medicine and family medicine and practices in the Valley.

The conversation started by talking about how far she thinks the NFL has come in terms of making the game safer for players and how much work it has left to do.
