One of the foremost experts on Native American law and tribal governance will soon oversee legal studies at Arizona State University.
Stacy Leeds was named as the new dean of ASU’s Sandra Day O’ Connor College of Law following a nationwide search.
Leeds joined the school in 2021 as the foundation professor of law and leadership and teaches in the Indian Legal Program.
A citizen of the Cherokee Nation, Leeds has served as a tribal Supreme Court Justice, and previously was dean of law at University of Arkansas.
Leeds begins her new post at ASU in February.
