Tempe releases development agreement for proposed entertainment district

Earlier this month, the Tempe City Council agreed to consider a public vote for a proposed Arizona Coyotes hockey arena and entertainment district. Now, residents have the opportunity to see details of the proposal.

On Wednesday, Tempe released its draft development agreement with information on commitments made between the city and developers for the entertainment district. Items featured in the plan include the acquisition of 46 acres of land, environmental remediation of the land and a timeline for the project.

Public hearings for the proposal are scheduled for Tuesday and Nov. 29. The City Council will vote on the development agreement and amendments to its land use plan.
