Gas prices are trending down but there's still a wide swing depending where in AZ

Gas prices are trending down but there's still a wide swing depending upon where you live in Arizona.

The average price per gallon of regular unleaded in Arizona continues to trend downward to $4.23.

But there also continues to be a wide swing in cost depending on where you live in the state according to AAA Arizona spokesperson Julian Paredes.

"The most expensive gas in Arizona is in the Phoenix area in Maricopa County," he said, "with averages around $4.51. The cheapest gas is in Pima County at $3.59."

Paredes said global consumption of fuel has been slumping while production has increased.
