The city of Mesa has reached an $8 million settlement with the widow of a Texas man shot dead by police in 2016.
Daniel Shaver was unarmed when he was fatally shot in the hallway of a La Quinta Inn & Suites.
The case drew nationwide attention after bodycam footage was released showing Shaver pleading with police.
The officer who shot him was acquitted of second-degree murder in the case.
