A Phoenix woman found a lost piece of her childhood — hanging in someone else’s house

Imagine finding a piece of your childhood in someone else’s house. That’s exactly what happened to Annie Cunningham.

She works as a house cleaner for Tidy Casa, and as she was working in Ryleigh Gleason’s house a few weeks ago, she noticed something on the wall.

Gleason had bought a cross stitch piece of a bouquet of flowers at a Goodwill a few months earlier and had just settled on the perfect spot to hang it.

As it turns out, the piece had also hung on the wall of Cunningham’s childhood home — it was made by her grandmother and had belonged to her late father.

After he died, his things ended up at Goodwill, where Gleason found and bought it.

The Show spoke with both Cunningham and Gleason to learn about the discovery.
