This survey takes an in-depth look at life in the transgender community

A survey billed as the largest ever devoted to the lives and experiences of transgender people is trying to get even larger.

The 2022 U.S. Trans Survey collects data in several areas from those in the transgender community. The last one, in 2015, included nearly 28,000 participants. This year’s version will be taking submissions through Dec. 5, and organizers hope to start releasing some of the survey data toward the end of next year.

Alex del Rosario is the national organizer with the National Center for Transgender Equality.

The Show spoke with them to learn what this survey is all about.
