Director of ASU's Global Futures Lab finds 10 things the world must do to fight climate change

The 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference, or COP27, wrapped up recently in Egypt. And amidst the world leaders and activists who attended the event was a delegation from Arizona State University.

Peter Schlosser was a part of that group; he’s the vice president and vice provost of Global Futures at ASU and is director of the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory.

He says he and his colleagues were there for two reasons. One was to talk about the 10 new insights in climate change, which is information assembled from the work of scientists around the world in the last year. The second reason was to present what they called the "Ten Must Haves," a list of what they believe are the most important things for the world to achieve so it can have a less gloomy future — one that includes opportunity for future generations.

The Show spoke with Schlosser and asked what kinds of things made the list.
