Health care workers got some much-needed recognition during the pandemic as they saved countless lives, risking their own in the process.
But even as we celebrated them, not many of us decided to change the course of our entire lives and become one. In fact, we’re facing a pretty significant nursing shortage in the country right now as many nurses have left the profession, burned out from long hours, low pay and the ongoing pandemic.
Danny Neumann is not most of us. The 49 year old had spent decades building a successful career in graphic design when he left it all to become a nurse.
The Show spoke with him to learn what sparked that career shift.
