Phoenix wins its 6th All-America City award

Phoenix earlier this year was named an All-America City; it’s the sixth time the city has won the honor.

While the National Civic League, which gives out the award, has yearly themes, there are some criteria that are used every year; among them: civic engagement, collaboration across sectors and impact.

Rebecca Trout is the program director of the All-America City Awards.

The Show spoke with her to learn what makes a city an All-America City.
