Tucson Coffee Cricket's namesake is literal. How one shop is jumping on the cricket flour trend

There is a burgeoning new buzz word in the food scene: crickets.

The bugs are freeze-dried and ground up into a protein-rich powder that you can bake into anything from muffins to cookies.

And though the idea of eating bugs is a turn-off to some, Becca Fealk would point out they’re a delicacy in some parts of the world. And they’re environmentally friendly.

Fealk opened up the Tucson Coffee Cricket a few months ago, and the "cricket" in the name is one you should take literally.

The Show spoke with her to learn how she came up with the idea to begin with.
