Christmas is full of stories and legends, many of which are passed down from generation to generation: the Star of Bethlehem, Santa and his reindeer flying through the night on Christmas Eve to deliver presents worldwide and Christmas trees themselves.
But what happens when you try to look at some of these traditions through a scientific lens?
Roger Highfield did just that. He’s the director of the Science Museum Group, which is a group of five science museums in the United Kingdom. He’s also the author of the 1998 book, “The Physics of Christmas.”
The Show spoke with him, who asked what prompted him to write it.
