Chestnuts won’t be roasting on an open fire this holiday weekend.
The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality has issued a PM-2.5 High Pollution Advisorythrough Christmas Sunday.
That means restrictions on wood burning, off-road vehicles and an avoidance of using leaf blowers. Pollution levels are a result of fuel combustion from things like motor vehicles, power generation, residential fireplaces and wood stoves.
