Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer has proposed 12 laws to reform state election processes.
The proposals range from closing early voting days sooner, reforming campaign finance laws, and making the county recorder a nonpartisan position.
Around the time of the election, many complained that the process took too long. However, Richer noted that Arizona has never had results on election night.
The difference now is that races were closer for this election than many seen in the state previously.
Richer said by providing 95% of the total results by election night would combat misinformation, but to do that would require early voting to end before Election Day and a sooner start of tabulation.
In the proposal,he listed an example of an email he got where the sender said they hoped to have a poster of Richer's execution.
The proposals are not the official start of legislation.
