House Leadership made committee assignments on Tuesday. Among them, Arizona Republican Paul Gosar was tapped to rejoin both committees that previous leaders removed him from in 2021.
Gosar will return to sit on the House Natural Resources Committee, as well as the House Oversight Committee. The House had voted to censure Gosar and strip him of his committee assignments in November 2021.
The move came after he tweeted a video that included an altered animation that showed him killing Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez with a sword.
Gosar was cited last year in testimony during a hearing of the Select Committee to Investigate the Jan. 6 attack on the United States Capitol.
