A man was arrested at his home on Monday night after reports that he tried to sell a tiger cub on social media, Phoenix police said Tuesday.
Carlos Castro-Alcaraz, 25, was taken into custody after police served a search warrant on a home near 27th Avenue and Baseline Road.
A video released by police shows the cub in a wire pet crate in what appears to be a closet.
Authorities said other animals were also found at the home, including baby snapping turtles and a young American alligator. The animals were turned over to the Arizona Game and Fish Department for care, police said.
