The Phoenix Fire Department sent technical rescue teams to Chase Tower on Tuesday morning after "reports of a person stuck on the side of the building."
A person calling himself "Pro-Life Spider-Man" posted a video on Instagram just before 10 a.m. from what appears to be the tower. He said he was raising money for a pregnant woman named Hope to help her "choose life."
The video showed a crowd gathering at the scene, as well as a fire truck parked on the street below.
The man, identified as Maison Des Champs, 23, eventually scaled the entire building before being detained by authorities
Des Champs was arrested and taken to Maricopa County Jail on charges of trespassing and criminal nuisance charges, police said Tuesday afternoon.
The building at 201 N. Central Avenue in Phoenix is the state's tallest and has been vacant since 2021.
