Cities want Grand Canyon visitors to stay in northern Arizona longer

Business leaders in communities around the Grand Canyon are hoping to draw more visitors to towns and tourist sites outside the national park.

The Tusayan Chamber of Commerce is hoping to return tourism to levels from before the pandemic. To get there, it wants people to stay longer.

"We felt a need to educate people about the surrounding areas," said Chamber president Stoney Ward.

The organization is using videos it produced with a matching grant from the Arizona Tourism Board.

The videos highlight northern Arizona tourism from Sedona up to, of course, the national park.
