Arizona lawmakers last week approved d a plan to waive the cap on school spending for this year, avoiding millions of dollars-worth of cuts in the last few months of the school year.
There are efforts to ask voters to do away with the cap altogether, but they’ve not gained much momentum at the Capitol. This is the second straight year that schools faced big cuts if the Legislature couldn’t muster a two-thirds vote in both chambers to temporarily waive the cap.
So, what’s the next move for those in the education community?
