Dozens of employers are set to recruit military veterans and their families at a job fair planned for next Thursday, Feb. 23 at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale.
The event is organized by RecruitMilitary, a firm that specializes in connecting former or soon-to-be ex-military with companies that have initiatives to hire them.
Event director Robert Mulvihill said companies will be having on-the-spot interviews.
“There’s going to be more opportunities there for every aspect of technical skills, administrative skills, customer service, finance, security, law enforcement agencies.”
Mulvihill also said the roughly 4% unemployment rate for veterans is slightly higher than the national average, but is still the lowest it’s been in years.
