Man charged in car collision that killed family of Pinal County sheriff

The Gilbert Police Department has filed charges against a man involved in a fatal December car crash that killed Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb’s son, his son's fiancé and his granddaughter.

Connor Lamb, his fiancé and infant daughter died following the crash at Elliot Road and Cole Drive.

Both Lamb and his daughter were declared dead at the scene. His fiancé died from her injuries six days later.

The Gilbert Police Department submitted charges to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office against Brian Alexander Torres. He faces three counts of manslaughter.

According to police, Torres had been traveling over 20 miles above the speed limit.

Blood samples showed that Torres had a blood alcohol concentration below the legal limit but also revealed traces of THC.
