The world is in an age of uncertainty. That’s the finding of a new United Nations Human Development Report.
From the pandemic, to climate change, to wars, to a cost of living crisis — the report says we are experiencing a collective “uncertainty complex” that has implications far and wide.
Craig Calhoun has done a lot of thinking about this. A renowned social scientist, he is the university professor of social sciences at Arizona State University. He says while we are certainly living with social and political upheaval, all is not lost.
