Arizona's gas prices remain higher than national average

Gas prices across the state have been on the rise, with the average being $3.67 per gallon. That is up 11 cents from a week ago.

Julian Paredes with AAA says market forces are at play.

"Well the cost of oil hasn’t moved much at all, so that’s keeping gas prices relatively stable, but U.S. demand has ticked up slightly as we move closer to spring. So we just have to wait and see how long this last," Paredes said.

Maricopa County’s prices are 20 cents higher than the state average. Metro Phoenix gets much of its gas from California, which has seen a similar uptick in prices.
