Grand Canyon University nursing program expands to Chandler

Grand Canyon University recently announced that its nursing education program will extend into Chandler.

The expansion occurs amidst a nationwide shortage of nurses.

One Chandler Corporate Center will serve as the location for the new program which is intended for those who already have a non-nursing college education but who want to become nurses.

Dr. Lisa Smith, the dean of GCU’s College of Nursing and Health Care Professions, stated in a release the expansion will help meet the demand for quality care. Chandler mayor Kevin Hartke said the announcement from the university, “addresses the needs of local industries.”

The Chandler location will be the third expansion site for the program in the state since 2020.
