Vasectomies and other male birth control options gain interest in post-Roe America

Planned Parenthood of Arizona recently announced it is now offering vasectomies again, a response to increased demand in the months since the U.S. Supreme Court reversed Roe v. Wade and undid the constitutionally-protected right to abortion. 

As the laws protecting women’s reproductive rights are being chipped away, Kevin Shane says it’s time to re-examine men’s roles in reproductive responsibility and decision making.

Shane is with the Male Contraceptive Initiative, which works to fund research into non-hormonal birth control for men.  The onus has always been on women to manage birth control, but now there are several options for men in development. The Show spoke with Shane about it.
