Tempe Town Lake is closed to water recreation until further notice.
That includes paddle boating, kayaking, rowing and sailing among other activities.
Fishing is still allowed, and surrounding parks will remain open.
Due to deeper snowpack than usual, the Salt River Project has increased water releases from several reservoirs.
Tempe says the lake’s dam continues to operate normally.
The lake's dam is flowing at 25,000 cubic feet per second.
