American politics may never be the same if former president — and current GOP presidential candidate — Donald Trump is indicted by a New York grand jury in the coming days.
The indictment was widely expected — including by Trump himself — last week but we’re still waiting. If he’s indicted, he will become the first former president ever criminally indicted.
The case revolves around adult film star Stormy Daniels and hush money in the waning days of the 2016 campaign. Trump’s surrogates and many in the GOP in Washington, D.C., are calling it a witch hunt.
Elvia Díaz, editorial page editor of the Arizona Republic, calls that nonsense.
She joined The Show with her colleague, Phil Boas, who argues that this isn’t the case to go after him on.
