Water recreation enthusiasts in the Valley can now resume activities at Tempe Town Lake. The city announced the amount of brackish water containing debris that was released by Salt River Project into the lake has decreased.
A temporary buoy line has been installed about 500 feet upstream of the lake dam while water inflows continue, according to a release from the city.
"Inflows from the SRP system are a routine and seasonal event, and the dam continues to operate normally and handle the flows," according to Maegan Pardu, Tempe public information officer.
