As the Arizona Diamondbacks begin what they hope is a new era for the team, this season will mark the end of an era in the broadcast booth.
Greg Schulte was hired to be the team’s radio play-by-play announcer in 1995 — three years before they started playing. He’s been behind the mic ever since, including for the biggest moments in team history.
This season will be Schulte’s last. He’s decided to retire after cutting back on travel over the past few seasons.
The Show spoke with Schulte about the decision to make this his final season.
