Authorities are warning boaters who use Lake Pleasant to beware of unseen debris in the water.
Sgt. Joaquin Enriquez with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said recent storms have washed scrub brush and even tree trunks into the lake.
"This could be very dangerous. If you’re traveling on your boat and you happen to hit it, it can cause damage to your boat, or maybe even get stuck in one of the propellers causing your boat to flip," said Enriquez.
Despite the warning, there are no plans to close access to the lake at this time.
