Residents across the state may need to brace for some upcoming windy weather.
A storm system is expected to move into Arizona on Monday and then sweep across the Four Corners area by Tuesday.
Wind advisories have been issued for Phoenix and Flagstaff, according to Valley-based National Weather Service meteorologist Mark O’Malley.
“We’re looking at gusts 40 to 50 mph across the area and even up into northern parts of Arizona, winds may gust in excess of 60 mph,” he said.
He recommends that people secure any outdoor lightweight objects and delay driving up north.
Beyond Monday, weather conditions for the rest of the work are forecasted with varying levels of sunshine and breeziness in the Valley.
Making plans for the week? Looking dry across the area, but quite windy Monday afternoon w/ wide range of temperatures through the week. If you prefer the cooler #azwx, savor Tuesday because it's unlikely you'll see another day this cool until November. pic.twitter.com/ELCcOJTeDF
