Senate debates bill to require gun safety training for Arizona middle and high schoolers

The state Senate later today is expected to debate a bill that would mandate age-appropriate firearms safety training for sixth to 12th graders in Arizona district and charter schools.

It’s one of many bills up for a vote in either the full House or Senate this week. Another measure would remove authority from the State Bar of Arizona, and there is a bill that deals with the deplatforming of candidates on social media.

To preview what to expect this week at the state Capitol this week, The Show spoke with Howard Fischer of Capitol Media Services.
