Suns-themed crosswalks are coming to downtown Phoenix for the NBA playoffs

The Phoenix Suns are marking their appearance in the NBA playoffs by adding some color outside the Footprint Center.

The team’s purple and orange colors are being added to four crosswalks at four intersections near the Footprint Center. That’s where the Suns will take on the LA Clippers Sunday in the first game of the first round of the playoffs.

The crosswalks are along Jefferson Street at Central Avenue, 1st Street, 2nd Street and 3rd Street. The team will cover installation and removal costs. The colors should remain through the playoffs.

In 2021, Phoenix Raceway painted yellow-checkered start and finish linesat four downtown crosswalks to promote NASCAR’s championship weekend.
