AZ is among the states selected for holding training for Latino candidates

Arizona is among four states where a national group says its holding training sessions for progressive Latinos who want to run for office or work as a political operative.

The coaching sessions just launched in Texas. They’re backed by partners such as Google and the National Democratic Training Committee.

A lot of our efforts are focused on identifying donors. Making sure we are employing good grassroots programs for fundraising, said Silvina Alarcón, director of campaigns for the Latino Victory Project.

Alarcon also said the two-day training session in Arizona will take place in the fall with the help of local groups.
