This Arizona mom worries her kids are getting a whitewashed version of history

Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Horne, a Republican, largely ran on the hot-button issue of critical race theory.

So is a mother of three and an opinion contributor to the Arizona Republic. In her latest column, she argues that her Chinese American sons are getting a whitewashed version of history — and Arizona educators are worried about teaching the full truth about things like immigration and slavery for fear of crossing a political line.

It’s a debate that’s on the mind of many parents and educators in our state and across the country. So joined The Show to talk about it.
