Earlier this week, President Joe Biden issued an executive order that supports the needs of caregivers from all walks of life.
The order contains roughly 50 directives, making it possibly one of the most comprehensive orders when it comes to supporting all caregivers.
Dana Marie Kennedy is the state director of AARP Arizona. She posted a video on Facebook applauding the move.
"And part of those executive orders is to improve access to home-based care for veterans, enhance job quality for long-term care workers and also support family caregivers," she said in her message.
The order also aims to boost job quality for early childhood educators, while also making child care more accessible and more affordable.
The directives would be funded out of existing commitments and will not require additional new spending.
